5 Stars Everything I hoped for and more
There is my new favorite yoga dvd! I was looking for a yoga practice that was more restorative than workout and this is it.

This dvd consists of numerous sequences that address a variety of ailments and conditions. There is so much variety, both within each sequence and each pose that there is truly something for everyone. I love how 4 examples of each pose are demonstrated, from the most gentle, supported and relaxing variation to more advanced and vigorous variations. The setting is gorgeous and the music is relaxing and peaceful. Laura’s voice is soothing and never intrusive.

I know that this dvd will be a regular part of my yoga practice for years to come.

5 Stars I Love It
I’m a big believer in the power of yoga to cure health issues, and this DVD is one every yogi should own. There are practices for shoulder stiffness/pain, menopause, depression, back pain, and many, many more — 60 of them. I’ve done two so far, and plan to spend a lot of time with this DVD. It’s filmed in a pretty outdoor setting and at the beginning of each asana, you will see text on the screen explaining what the pose will do for you and also any contraindications. It doesn’t last more than a couple of seconds, so it doesn’t interrupt your practice, but you do have the option to pause here if you want to. I found it very interesting to know the purpose of each pose for helping the particular ailment in question. You also have the option of skipping any pose if it’s too advanced or if you just don’t like it for whatever reason. I recommend this DVD for those with prior yoga experience, as there are few form tips for beginners. For those who already know the basics and have a regular yoga practice, this is a must-have for your library.

5 Stars Convenient and informative
This is a great video - well done and is very useful for me. There are days when I know I should do some yoga but I don’t want to go down and take a long class. I can scroll to a section that looks interesting and follow at my own pace. I think this is a great way for someone to familiarize themselves with the basics of yoga used for therapeutic purposes as well as an easy way to get more yoga done at home. Thumbs up!

5 Stars Nice DVD … I included details of the Acne sequence …
This is a really nice DVD. There is so much on it. The way they get 60 sequences on one DVD is to create each asana (there seem to be about 50)and then string them together like beads on a string. Some sequences have 15 asanas and other have 30. Overall it seems to be Iyengar yoga, both restorative style and gentle style. But there are also some distinctively Viniyoga asanas in the fitness and energizer sequences. Because Acne is an affliction of youth the Acne sequence is longer and more gentle yoga than restorative. I like this sequence a lot. Here are the poses:

1: Tadasana

2: Tadasana looking skywards

3: Tadasana with eagle arms

4: Uttanasa

5: Down Dog

6: Intense Stretch (both legs)

7: Triangle

8: Vasistasana

9: half moon (modified)

10: dandasana

11: Janu sirsasana

12: Donwward Hero

13: Seated forward fold

14: twisting child

15: seated twist A

16: seated twist C

17: supported bound wide angle

18: supported virasana

19: supported wide angle

20: bound angle

21: head stand (or modified down dog)

22: foldward fold

23: bridge pose

24: plow pose

25: supported bridge

26: legs up wall

27: savasana

This sequence make sense when you compare it to what people say about acne and yoga, flushing the organs, the face, opening the energy …

The music on this DVD is really nice.

The Fitness and Energier sequences are fun.

5 Stars Really nice
Wow, at first I was expecting sweaty yoga so that I could lose weight. I think half of the yoga on the DVD is called restorative yoga (on the floor with pillows yoga). When first doing the weight loss sequence I thought this was just relaxing type yoga exercises and not sure if it would work. But afterwards it felt so good to do the weight loss sequence I really wanted to do more. Feels so good and so easy to do! I am not sure how it works to lose weight because I just started but it is not sweating out the calories. It seems to make you feel good so that you don’t want to eat so much “comfort food”. Maybe the old indian yogis knew something that we have forgotten.

There are so many sequences that I cannot comment on most but I bet that they will make you feel really good too. There is a lot of different and interesting yoga poses here that I have not seen or tried before and they look really fun. The more easy feel good yoga there is the better.

It feels so much better for me to do this yoga than a regular yoga class because of my injured hip that if you have any issue or just wanna relieve stress easily you should get this video. And I really like the music and Laura’s voice.
